O'Fallon man indicted on drug, gun charges

An O'Fallon man is facing federal drug and gun charges.

Matthew G. Patterson, 23, was indicted by a federal grand jury in East St. Louis on charges of unlawful possession with intent to distribute marijuana and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking offense.

Patterson faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine for each count if convicted.

Trial is scheduled for Sept. 16 in East St. Louis.
