Broaden use of drug testing

July 13, 2013

I must agree with letter writer Jim Bonnevier that we need protection from the abuses of public servants. Corruption is rampant and the American Civil Liberties Union should be disbanded.

I believe that all judges and public servants should be drug tested. It's no different from construction workers or anyone earning a living. I was subject to random drug tests 20 years ago as an electrician.

I respect policemen, firefighters, judges, etc., but they need to be free of drugs of any kind. The same goes for anyone receiving public assistance of any kind. Do the drugs and forget about any aid.
