Boy struck by hit-and-run driver near Cahokia dies

A 9-year-old boy who was struck by a hit-and-run driver on Thursday has died from his injuries.

Fabian Teson died Sunday morning, according to Mary Fosage, a spokesman for SSM Cardinal Glennon Children's Medical Center in St. Louis.

Teson was riding his bike in the 2400 block of Lorraine Drive near Cahokia when he was hit by a car about 12:30 p.m. Thursday.

Police are looking for the driver of a late 1990s silver or gray Pontiac Grand Am, Grand Prix or Chevrolet Malibu.
