Local hospital administrators to discuss new health care provisions at forum

Leaders from metro-east hospitals and a local health insurance consultant will participate in a special panel Thursday night to help the public understand the nation's health care policy.

The Greater Belleville Chamber of Commerce will host the health care forum at Belleville West High School. The event be held at 7 p.m. in the school's Performing Arts Center at 4063 Frank Scott Parkway. Admission is free.

The panel will have Memorial Hospital in Belleville President and Chief Executive Officer Mark Turner, St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville President and Chief Executive Officer Maryann Reese, Healthcare Leadership Council Regional Director John Bayalis and Yaekel & Associates Insurance Services Inc. in Belleville benefit consultant Brent Pieper. Mike Wall, of Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo., will be the moderator.
