Another hot, humid day; any relief in sight?

Another day of extreme temperatures is on the way Friday with a high of 94 degrees -- and a heat index of 100.

But the heat wave, which brought 88 percent humidity to the metro-east Friday morning, will likely give way to wet weather and cooler temperatures over the next several days.

There is a 30 percent chance of thunderstorms Friday afternoon into the evening hours. On Saturday a high of 92 is expected with a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms. A 50 percent chance of thunderstorms is predicted for Sunday with a high of 87.

Forecast through Tuesday: Temperatures in the upper 80s with a chance of thunderstorms each day.
