East St. Louis march planned in support of Trayvon Martin family

News-DemocratJuly 19, 2013

Friends of Tracy Martin, the father of Trayvon Martin, will march on Saturday from the parking lot adjoining the East St. Louis Board of Education at 1005 State St. to the federal courthouse at 750 Missouri Ave. in East St. Louis.

The march begins at 5 p.m.

Tracy Martin's friends, Tommie Liddell, Raymond House, Undre Howard, Medgar Stennis and Reginald Jordan are organizing the march to demonstrate their support for their friend.

Rallies are scheduled in 100 cities to press for civil rights charges against George Zimmerman, the former neighborhood watch leader who claimed self-defense after shooting Martin during an altercation.
