No attitude, just asking

July 23, 2013

Reference to the letter Sunday in the BND, "One issue is attitude."

How would you feel, while walking home, if a black man came up to you and asked you where you were going and where you had been and you didn't even know this person? First you might say: Who are you and why are you following me (but no attitude). I don't think you would care for being white and an American citizen.

While on my way to the St. Clair County Jail with classmates for a criminal justice class, we were followed at least two blocks then pulled over. I was asked where I was going, whose car it was and where did I work. Mind you, everyone was passing me before I was stopped and I got a ticket.

I was in my 20s; now I'm past 60 and you can't even walk without being killed. You talk about attitude.

Next, there will be stars on us like the Jews had under the Nazis.
