Some of pro wrestling's all-time greats coming to GCS Ballpark

— The Gateway Grizzlies will present "Wrestling Legends at GCS Ballpark" on Aug. 9 and 10, featuring full-ring wrestling and a meet-and-greet with wrestling stars.

On Aug. 9, Jerry "The King" Lawler will throw out the ceremonial first pitch for the Grizzlies' series finale against the Rockford Aviators at 7:05 p.m. Joining the Lawler will be some of pro wrestling's all-time greats: "Handsome" Harley Race, Baron Von Raschke, Ken Patera, Rocky Johnson (the father of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and announcer and author and famed ring announcer Larry Matysik. They will be available for autographs during and after the game in the GCS Ballpark VIP party suites.

On Aug. 10, an SICW Wrestling Explosion will take place at 8 p.m. in the friendly confines of GCS Ballpark. Race, Raschke, Patera and Rocky will all be ringside to witness a "win-or-be-shaved" buzz match featuring Dave Vaughn versus Chas Wesson.

Also on the card, "Ironman" Ken Kasa defends the Classic Wrestling title against Ron Powers. Following, the first ever Grizzlies Grand Masters Tournament sends Ricky Cruz, The Big Texan, Gary Jackson and Flash Flanagan into a tag-team battle.

Special ticket packages are available to meet the legends in the VIP suite Friday and sit ringside on Saturday. Tickets are available stand-alone for either day.
