A Granite City man is accused of attacking his father and several women over a set of car keys.

Danny G. Linhart Jr., 30, has been charged with felony aggravated battery and three counts of domestic battery in connection with a domestic disturbance Saturday at 515 Thorngate Drive.

Madison County Sheriff's deputies responded to the home and discovered the dispute began when Linhart tried to take a set of car keys from the pants pocket of his 60-year-old father. When his father wouldn't hand over the keys, Linhart is accused of pushing his father over a couch and knocking him to the floor. Linhart them attacked and hit three women also in the home at the time.

Linhart fled the home on foot before deputies arrived. A K-9 unit tracked Linhart and found him hiding near Illinois 3 in a wooded area. He was arrested and taken to the Madison County Jail.

No one was seriously injured in the incident.

Linhart's bond was set at $50,000 and he remains in police custody.
