Woman robs O'Fallon bank

O'Fallon police were searching Thursday for a woman suspected of robbing a bank Wednesday afternoon.

The robbery took place about 4 p.m. at the FNB Bank at 350 Hartman Lane.

According to police, an African-American female entered the bank and handed the teller a note announcing the robbery. The suspect received an undisclosed amount of cash and fled.

The suspect is described as being between 5-foot-3 and 5-foot-7 in height, approximately 150 pounds, wearing dark sunglasses and carrying a red purse.
