15 attorneys apply for open judge seat

— Fifteen attorneys have applied for a vacant judge position in Madison County.

With the promotion of Judge James Hackett from associate to circuit judge, an associate judge seat was left vacant. Chief Judge David Hylla has announced that 15 attorneys have applied for the position.

The applicants are: Philip Alfeld, Laura Andrews, Elizabeth Carrion, John Fischer, Ronald Foster Jr., David Jones, Philip Lading, Michael McGinley, Marc Parker, Maureen Schuette, Ronald Slemer, Katherine Smith, Marleen Suarez, Kelly Sullivan and Leslie Wood.
