Police are seeking the public's help in finding a woman suspected of stealing another woman's purse.
Tiree Fox, 24, was charged with burglary, a class 2 felony; two counts of forgery, a class 3 felony; and theft from a person, a class 3 felony.
On July 27, Fox approached a 75-year-old woman in the 100 block of West Juda Avenue, according to Collinsville Police. Fox had a young child with her and told the older woman that they were stranded, so she asked if she could use her cell phone.
The older woman lay down her purse, and Fox allegedly grabbed the purse and ran off with the child. No one was injured in the robbery.
Police also believe Fox is responsible for a car burglary on July 24 in the 500 block of Norwood, during which checks were stolen and later forged and cashed.
Police are looking for Fox, who is described as a white female, 5 feet tall and weighing 112 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. Her bail was set at $150,000.
