Three men were charged Saturday in connection with the armed robbery of a Fairview Heights restaurant.
The St. Clair County State's Attorney issued felony charges in connection with the Thursday night armed robbery of the Chili's Restaurant at 6311 N. Illinois St.
The following men each were charged with two counts of armed robbery and two counts of aggravated robbery:
* Daniel W. Amerson, 26, of the 700 block of Sparks Avenue in Cahokia;
* Christopher J. Ford, 28, of the 3400 block of Texas Avenue in St. Louis; and
* Terry L. Scott, 44, of the 100 block of Moberly Drive in Alorton.
St. Clair County Judge Patricia Kievlan set each man's bail at $1 million, according to a news release from Fairview Heights Police Detective James Mason.
The suspects are being held in the St. Louis City Justice Center awaiting extradition to Illinois.
They were arrested in St. Louis after leading police on a chase from Illinois to Missouri. After the suspects abandoned the getaway car, one suspect was taken into custody by an Illinois state trooper and St. Louis Police captured the two others. Two handguns and an undetermined amount of cash were recovered from the car.
