Grizzlies look to soar in series with Aviators

— The Gateway Grizzlies return to action Wednesday night to begin a three-game series against the visiting Rockford Aviators.

The Grizzlies won their 15th series of the 2013 season Monday with a 5-2 win over the archrival River City Rascals! The Grizzlies hold a 1 1/2 game lead over the Schaumburg Boomers in the West Division standings of the Frontier League.

The team is off today, but starts a 3 game home stand against the Rockford Aviators on Wednesday.

Playoff tickets

Tickets for the 2013 playoffs will be on sale to the general public starting Saturday. Playoff tickets for just season ticket holders are currently available right now. For ticket information, call the Grizzlies' ticket office at 618-337-3000.

In-between inning promotions or singing "Take me Out to the Ballgame" are just two ways you can join in all the fun in the friendly confines of GCS Ballpark. Wrestling legends

The Gateway Grizzlies celebrate Wrestling Legends night on Friday and Saturday. This two-day event will be one that every wrestling fan will enjoy. Jerry "The King" Lawler and the Rock's father, Rocky Johnson, are two wrestlers who will be present for this event along with such stars at Handsome Harley Race and Baron Von Rasche.

Upcoming Promotions

* Wednesday --- Carnival Rides presented by Tribout Distributors and $1 nachos at the main concession stand only.

* Thursday, -- Ladies' Night. A diamond hunt presented by Hudson Jewelers for females 18 years or older. Immediately following the game, ladies will be able to participate in a giant Easter egg hunt. The eggs will be filled with varies prizes, including a diamond ring.

* Friday-- Kids Fun Cash Grab presented by GCS Credit Union with fireworks a super prize wheel.
