BELLEVILLE POLICE

TUESDAY, AUG. 6

9:30 a.m. Unlawful visitation interference --300 block of North 37th Street. Ashley M. Johnson, 26, was arrested for unlawful visitation interference.

11:02 a.m. Traffic stop, disorderly conduct, resisting a peace officer -- 600 block of East McKinley. The driver, Briana J. Harold, 22, was arrested for suspended driver's license and resisting a peace officer. Brandon D. Matthews, 24, was arrested for disorderly conduct and resisting a peace officer. Both subjects were taken into custody.

11:28 a.m. Theft of mislaid property, unlawful use of credit card -- Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. A suspect was arrested for unlawful use of credit card and taken into custody.

4:59 p.m. Juvenile battery arrest -- Brookhill Estates walking trail. Three juveniles were arrested for battery to the victim and taken into custody. Parents of the suspects were issued non traffic citations for improper supervision of children.

6:52 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- Memorial Hospital, 4500 Memorial Drive. The victim reported property was stolen from her vehicle.

7:58 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 300 block of South Virginia. The victim reported her unlocked vehicle was entered and property was stolen.

10:33 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of cannabis -- North 10th at West E Street. Kimberly N. Long, 31, and Michael A. Anderson, 24, were arrested for possession of cannabis.

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 7

7:03 a.m. Graffiti -- 1400 block of Rose Del and 1100 block of Dawn Drive. While on patrol an officer discovered graffiti painted on the roadway.

9:46 a.m. Stalking, criminal damage to property -- 500 block of Sunrise. The suspect was arrested for stalking and criminal damage to property. He was taken into custody.

3:41 p.m. Attempted burglary -- Southside Improvement, 800 S. Sixth St., A window on the building was broken out, possibly in an attempt to gain entry to the business.

4:37 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- 1000 block of South Charles. The victim reported the paint on her vehicle was scratched.

4:57 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- 500 block of South Charles. The victim reported his vehicle was damaged while parked in the roadway.

6:21 p.m. Deceptive practice -- 100 block of North 40th Street. The victim reported the suspect obtained his personal information and opened several charge accounts in his name without his permission.

9:36 p.m. Curfew violation improper supervision -- 1000 block of Cool Valley Drive. A juvenile was arrested for curfew violation. His mother was issued an non traffic citation for improper supervision of children.

10:50 p.m. Suspicious incident -- 9700 block of West Main Street. The victim reported that while she was standing at the bus stop a blue or black Ford Crown Victoria turned on South 98th Street. The driver asked if she needed help, she told him no and waved him on. The subject backed his vehicle onto West Main Street and cursed her. The victim started to call 911 and then the suspect reached down as though he was going to take off his seat belt. The victim fled on foot from the roadway and called 911. The suspect cursed at her again and left the area driving east on West Main Street. Officers searched the area with negative results.

11:54 p.m. Battery --1100 block of West A Street. The victim reported being battered by three unknown subjects.

THURSDAY, AUG. 8

12:08 a.m. Traffic stop, possession of cannabis -- 800 block of Carlyle. Darnell A. Conner, 29, was arrested for possession of cannabis and taken into custody.

1:47 a.m. Curfew violation, improper supervision -- East Monroe at Wabash. A juvenile was arrested for curfew violation and taken into custody. His mother was issued a non traffic citation for improper supervision of children.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

WEDNESDAY, AUG. 7

Joseph W. Marshall, 45, of 1997 Maple Tree Lane, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a stolen motor vehicle between July 28 and Aug. 1 by Metro East Auto Theft Task Force. Marshall allegedly, a person not entitled to possession of said vehicle, possessed a red 1998 Ford 150 knowing it to have been stolen.

Anthony D. Bradley, 24, of 2113 Louise, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon on parole and unlawful possession of ammunition by a felon on parole on or about June 19 by Illinois State Police. Bradley allegedly possessed on or about his person a firearm, a Smith & Wesson Model SW40e semiautomatic pistol; knowingly possessed firearm ammunition, a magazine loaded with 12 rounds of ammunition for a semiautomatic pistol. Defendant had been previously convicted of a forcible felony, second-degree murder on March 15, 2007.

Alexis N. Garrett, 19, of 1246 Greenland Road in Memphis, Tenn., arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery on or about Aug. 5 by Washington Park police. Garrett allegedly, in committing a battery, and while Shana Wilson was at the Amoco parking lot located at 1205 Kingshighway, Washington Park, knowingly caused bodily harm to Shana Wilson in that she stabbed Shana Wilson in her leg with a knife.

Michael R. Davis, 17, of 113 Melvin Drive, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of two counts of burglary on or about June 29 by Cahokia police. Davis allegedly entered into a building, doing business as Midwest Petroleum, located at 2001 Camp Jackson Road, Cahokia, with the intent to commit theft therein.

Mark S. Kube, 31, of 2272 N. 1500 East Drive, Edinburg, arrested on suspicion of retail theft on or about Aug. 6 by O'Fallon police. Kube allegedly took merchandise from Schnucks, 907 E. Highway 50, Fairview Heights, being bottles of liquor, chips, cereal and other merchandise, total retail value in excess of $300.

Natalie L. Turner, 27, of 557 Bluestone Court, Mascoutah, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on or about July 10 by Fairview Heights police. Turner allegedly had in her possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing heroin.

Bulent Elkat, 42, of 921 Calista Ridge St., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of two counts of unlawful use of a credit card on or about Aug. 6 by Belleville police. Elkat allegedly, with the intent to defraud the issuer, Discover, used a Discover credit card, which was without the cardholder's consent for the purpose of obtaining goods, being two American Express gift cards, total value in excess of $300.

Jeffrey A. Burgess, 29, of 4329 Highway 162, Granite City, arrested on suspicion of obstructing justice and attempted child abduction on or about Aug. 4 by Belleville police. Burgess allegedly, with the intent to prevent the arrest of Jeffrey Burgess by Detective Crimm of the Belleville Police Department, knowingly furnished false information to Crimm, with the intent to commit the offense of child abduction, performed a substantial step toward the commission of that offense, in that Burgess, natural father of minor child, went to 1714 Brandy, Belleville, in an attempt to remove the child from the residence with physical force or threat of physical force.

THURSDAY, AUG. 8

Jermon C. Williams, 30, of 2516 Eastview Drive, Belleville, arrested on suspicion of escape and theft on or about June 30 by miscellaneous agencies. Williams allegedly, who was charged with the felony offense of unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon and who was conditionally released from the St. Clair County Jail, the supervising authority, through an electronic home monitoring detention program with the St. Clair County Probation Department, knowingly violated a condition of that program in that said defendant, without permission left his residence and his whereabouts are unknown; knowingly exerted unauthorized control over property of Sentinel Offender Services, being a Sentinel Patrol Suite Transmitter, total value in excess of $500.

Frederick W. Lyles, 28, of 919 S. 13th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault of a child between May 1 and July 27 by East St. Louis. Lyles allegedly, who was 17 years of age or older, knowingly committed an act of sexual assault with a minor female twice.

Matthew D. Bateman, 33, of 1907 Apple Blossom Lane, Columbia, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery, criminal damage to government supported property and assault on or about Aug. 6 by Dupo police. Bateman allegedly, in committing a battery, knowingly made physical contact with Jeremy Zimmer, in that he kicked Jeremy Zimmer in the groin knowing Jeremy Zimmer to be a peace officer engaged in the performance of his authorized duties; knowingly damaged without the consent of the Village of Dupo Police Department the Dupo Police Department Patrol Unit #9, located at 1312 N. Main St., Dupo, which property is supported in part with Village of Dupo funds, said damage in excess of $500; knowingly poured gasoline on a motor vehicle that Laurie Bateman occupied while located at 1312 N. Main St., Dupo, thereby placing Laurie Bateman in reasonable apprehension of receiving a battery.

Daniuell R. Sims, 39, of 252 N. 72nd St., Centreville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery on or about Aug. 7 by Centreville police. Sims allegedly, in committing a battery, knowingly made physical contact with Demarius Thomas, in that she kicked Demarius Thomas in the groin with her foot knowing Demarius Thomas to be a peace officer, engaged in the performance of his authorized duties.

Corves D. Viverette, 29, of 416 E. Spruce, New Baden, arrested on suspicion of driving while driver's license is suspended, subsequent on or about Aug. 3 by Fairview Heights police. Viverette allegedly, drove a black 2011 Nissan on Lincoln Highway in Fairview Heights, at a time when defendant's driver's license was suspended. Defendant had been previously convicted of driving while license is suspended on May 30.

Tramyia A. Bush, 24, of 1038 N. 41st St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery on or about Aug. 7 by Caseyville police. Bush allegedly made physical contact with Michael Raymond, in that she struck Michael Raymond about the face with her hand knowing Michael Raymond to be a peace officer, engaged in the performance of his authorized duties.

Demarcus D. Scott, 21, of 2927 Summit Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of violated an order of protection on or about Aug. 7 by Illinois State Police. Scott allegedly, having been served with the contents of an order of protection, did knowingly commit an act which was prohibited by the order of protection in that said defendant was in a vehicle with Loutreece S. Miller, a protected party. Defendant had been previously convicted of domestic battery on April 26, 2012.

Travis A. Hoffman, 21, of East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of no registration, no driver's license and traffic violation by St. Clair County sheriff.
