BELLEVILLE POLICE

THURSDAY, AUG. 8

7:25 a.m. Possession of cannabis -- 3900 block of West Main Street. Peter T. Phillips, 20, and Dartaniel D. Pruitt, 19, were arrested for possession of cannabis and taken into custody.

7:55 a.m. Theft -- Quality Rental, 201 South Belt East. The manager reported the suspect rented equipment and has not returned it. The suspect's credit card used to rent the equipment now returns as a closed account.

8:07 a.m. Domestic battery -- 9400 block of West Main Street. The victim reported the suspect allegedly battered her.

10 a.m. Resisting a peace officer -- 2200 block of Frank Scott Parkway. A juvenile suspect was arrested for resisting a peace officer and taken into custody.

1:56 p.m. Theft -- First block of Rusty Wil Drive. The reporting person stated an air conditioning unit was removed from the property.

3:12 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 2700 block of Brookrun. The victim reported his vehicle was entered and property was stolen.

5:53 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- 7000 block of West Main Street. The suspect was arrested for damage to property and taken into custody.

8:10 p.m. Retail theft, battery -- St. Clair County Fairgrounds, 200 South Belt East. Sarah Bishop, 19, was arrested for retail theft and battery. She was taken into custody.

8:34 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- Shop 'N Save, 4201 North Belt West. The victim reported his unlocked vehicle was entered and property was stolen.

8:47 p.m. Disorderly conduct -- 100 block of North 21st Street. Thomas Buecher, 54, was arrested for disorderly conduct and taken into custody.

11:15 p.m. Drunkenness -- Circle K. 421 South Belt East. Trenton Schlegel, 25, was arrested for drunkenness and taken into custody.

FRIDAY, AUG. 9

8:12 a.m. Criminal trespass to property -- 400 block of North 37th Street. Richard A. Hedger, 41, was arrested for trespassing and taken into custody.

12:55 p.m. Retail theft --Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. The suspect was arrested for retail theft and taken into custody.

1:35 p.m. Criminal damage to state suppported property -- North Charles at Dewey. Justin M. Lee, 19, was arrested for damage to state supported property and taken into custody.

2:30 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of a controlled substance -- South Seventh Street and State Street. The driver/suspect was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and taken into custody.

8:29 p.m. Theft, unlawful use of a credit card -- Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. The victim reported her wallet was stolen and her credit card had been used for two different transactions without her permission.

9:11 p.m. Theft -- First block of Lakeshore. The victim reported property was stolen from a trailer in his driveway.

SATURDAY, AUG. 10

12:28 a.m. Criminal damage to property -- 200 block of East Monroe. The victim reported a bedroom window was broken out of her residence.

6:07 a.m. Motor vehicle theft -- 100 block of Blue Ridge Drive. The victim reported his vehicle, which had been left unlocked with the keys in it, was stolen.

8:50 a.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 200 block of Blue Ridge Drive. The victim reported a passenger window was broken out of her vehicle and property was stolen.

9:08 a.m. Retail theft -- Save A Lot, 4545 W. Main St. Angela A. Gulley, 54, and Leroy Hunderson, 58, were arrested for retail theft and taken into custody.

9:40 a.m. Residential burglary -- 600 block of East Grant. The victim reported a window was broken, entry was gained to the residence and property was stolen.

12:36 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 100 block of Clearview Drive. The victim reported two unlocked vehicles were entered and property was stolen.

12:42 p.m. Aggravated domestic burglary -- Townhouse Motel, 400 S. Illinois. The suspect was arrested for domestic battery and taken into custody.

12:45 p.m. Domestic battery -- 1000 block of Prairie Avenue. The suspect was arrested for domestic battery and taken into custody.

5:22 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- 700 block of Abend. The victim reported her vehicle was damaged while it was parked on the roadway.

6:22 p.m. Theft -- 2400 block of East Main Street. The victim reported the air conditioning unit was stolen from outside her residence.

7:01 p.m. Theft -- 900 block of North Charles. The victim reported property was stolen out of his daughter's bedroom.

8:33 p.m. Criminal trespass to property, criminal damage to property -- League Lounge, 1501 W. Main St. Rebecca Farmer, 49, was arrested for trespassing and damage to property. She was taken into custody.

10:06 p.m. Residential burglary -- 100 block of North 36th Street. the victims reported entry was gained to their residence and property was stolen.

10:46 p.m. Theft, battery -- Schatze's Bar, 2301 E. Main St. Angela Betlach, 32, was arrested for theft and battery. She was taken into custody. Michael Betlach was arrested for battery and taken into custody.

10:58 p.m. Theft -- Sullivan's Bar, 907 N. Illinois. The victim reported her purse was stolen while she was in the bar. Her purse was located but was missing U.S. currency.

SUNDAY, AUG. 11

2:48 a.m. Motor vehicle theft -- 200 block of North Jackson. The victim reported she allowed her fiance to borrow her vehicle. She stated he left the keys in the vehicle, parked on the roadway. When he returned, he discovered the vehicle had been stolen.

12:23 p.m. Retail theft -- Dollar General, 18 Bellevue Park Plaza. The suspect was arrested for retail theft and taken into custody.

12:28 p.m. Home invasion -- First block of South Ninth Street. The victims reported two males entered the residence through a window. The males held the victims at gunpoint and demanded money from the victims. The victims' dog was shot three times by the subjects.

1:42 p.m. Theft -- 100 block of North 40th Street. The victim reported the suspect stole property from her.

7:17 p.m. Traffic accident, revoked driver's license, possession of cannabis -- 300 block of East Main Street. Dwayne Rieke, 47, was arrested for driving with a revoked driver's license and possession of cannabis. He was taken into custody.

8:06 p.m. Criminal trespass to property, theft, arrest -- 100 block of North 40th Street. The suspect was arrested for trespassing and for theft. He was taken into custody.

10:41 p.m. Traffic stop, speeding, possession of a controlled substance -- 200 block of South Belt East. The driver/suspect was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and taken into custody.

11:15 p.m. Unattended child -- Region's Bank, 4600 W. Main St. A 2-year-old child was located wandering in the parking lot of Region's Bank. The child was transported to an area hospital for observation and DCFS was notified. At 1:19 a.m., the parents of the child notified the Police Department their 2-year-old child was missing. After further investigation it was determined the child wandered away from the residence.

MONDAY, AUG. 12

2:41 a.m. Retail theft -- Circle K, 421 South Belt East. Antwane Smith, 31, was arrested for retail theft and taken into custody.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

FRIDAY, AUG. 9

Crystal S. Lee, 26, of 3906 Humphrey, St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of retail theft and obstructing identification on or about June 8 by the State's Attorney's Office. Lee allegedly took possession of merchandise from Old Navy, 6015 N. Illinois St., Fairview Heights, being shirts, shorts, capris and other merchandise, a total retail value in excess of $300; and knowingly furnished a false name to Sgt. Jim Krummrich, a peace officer, who had lawfully arrested her.

Tyron Ross, 37, of 819 N. 41st St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of two counts of unlawful failure to renew address registration as a sex offender and resisting a police officer on or about April 4, 2011, by Illinois State Police. Ross, a sex offender, knowingly failed to renew registration in accordance with the provisions of the Sex Offender Registration Act, with the chief of police of Washington Park Police Department. Defendant had been previously convicted of a Sex Offender Registration Act violation, being unlawful failure to notify of a change of address as a sex offender in the Circuit Court of St. Clair County on Sept. 2, 2003; and knowingly resisted the performance of Brian Wood of an authorized act within his official capacity, being the arrest of Ross, knowing Wood to be a peace officer engaged in the execution of his official duties, in that he refused to be handcuffed.

Emon N. Shanklin, 49, of 1800 Loretta Lane, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about July 16 by Fairview Heights police. Shanklin allegedly took merchandise from Circle K West, 10070 Bunkum Road, Fairview Heights, being two cases of Red Bud and two boxes of cigars, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of retail theft, subsequent on Dec. 28, 2009.

Eric Curtis Jr., 19, of 642 N. 26th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on or about July 20 by East St. Louis police. Curtis allegedly carried on his person a 9-mm handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and accessible. Defendant had not been issued a current valid FOID Card.

Terry L. Scott, 44, of Alorton, arrested on suspicion of armed robbery by St. Clair County sheriff.

Jovonne C. Long, 21, of Scott AFB, arrested on suspicion of domestic battery by St. Clair County sheriff.
