Dupo Community School District 196

Superintendent: Stephen Smith

Age: 45

Residence: Marion

Education: Doctoral degree in educational leadership and administration from Oakland City University in Indiana, a master's degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale and a bachelor's degree from Murray State University in Kentucky.

Career: Served 11 years as principal at Marion High School; and worked at Carbondale Community High School as a teacher, women's golf coach and assistant principal.

Superintendent and Principal at St. Libory Elementary: Stuart Parks

Age: 48

Residence: Herrin

Education: Bachelor's degree in vocational education; master's degree in education with a specialist certification in educational leadership, all from SIUC.

Career: Served as administrator at Carbondale District 95 for two years; worked as an administrator and teacher at Marion District 2 for 18 years and five years as a teacher at Zeigler Royalton 166

Career: Served as assistant superintendent and director of human resources at Triad District 2 for five years; before that he worked as a health and science teacher, coach, dean, assistant principal and principal at the elementary and middle school levels at Triad.

Career: Served as assistant superintendent for the Collinsville Community Unit School District 10 for the past five years. Prior to that, she was the district's technology director for 12 years.

Penniman Elementary School Principal: Wendy Lange

Age: 44

Education: Bachelor's degree from SIUC and a master's degree from SIUE.

Career: She is beginning her 20th year with the Cahokia School District, and her fourth year as a principal. She previously served as principal of Jerome Early Childhood Center. She taught sixth grade for 16 years.

East St. Louis Senior High Principal: Lelon Seaberry

Career: Began his career with District 189 in 1987 as a physical education teacher and later became an elementary science and math teacher. He served as an assistant principal at Lansdowne/Wyvetter Younge Middle School for two years, a principal at Nelson Mandela Elementary School for three years and a principal at Mason Clark Middle School for six years.

Dunbar Elementary Principal: Carlynda Coleman

Age: 38

Residence: Belleville

Education: Bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Tennessee State University, master's degree in special education from Fontbonne University and a master's degree in educational administration from Lindenwood University.

Career: Taught special education for four years at St. Louis Public Schools

Mason Clark Middle School Principal: Roshanda Johnson

Age: 37

Residence: Swansea

Education: Bachelor's degree in elementary education from Quincy University and a master's degree in education administration from SIUE.

Career: Began her career at District 189 in 1999 as a classroom teacher, served as assistant principal of Lincoln Middle School, assistant principal of Mason-Clark Middle School and principal of Gordon Bush Elementary.

Wright Elementary School Principal: Maria Burton

Age: 37

Residence: O'Fallon

Education: Bachelor's degree in elementary education from SIUE and a master's degree in education administration from Lindenwood University. She is currently pursuing her specialist degree in educational administration from Lindenwood University.

Career: Served as a teacher at Edgemont Elementary School, dean of students at Dr. Katie Harper Wright Elementary School, assistant principal at Lincoln Middle School for one year and principal of James E. Williams Learning Center.

Gordon Bush Elementary School Principal: Trenese Dancy

Age: 36

Residence: Fairview Heights

Education: Bachelor's degree in psychology from McKendree University, a master's degree in elementary/secondary education administration in 2004 and a doctorate in education in 2010, both from Lindenwood University.

Career: Began her career with the district in June 2012 as an assistant principal at Gordon Bush. Prior to joining the district, she was an assistant principal with Belle Valley School District 119 and was a seventh- and eighth-grade language arts teacher and eighth-grade social science teacher for Cahokia School District 187.
