Two Marine residents were charged Wednesday in Madison County for their alleged role in residential burglaries in Marine and Alhambra.
Joshua T. Kamp, 27, and Nicole M. Voigt, 29, both of 106 N. Windmill St., each were charged with burglary and residential burglary. The charges are in connection with the Aug. 8 theft of a car wheel and about $475 worth of aluminum from a garage at 2322 Marine Road in Marine and the Aug. 12 theft of about $1,000 in cash and jewelry from a home at 4602 Weber Road in Alhambra.
During the investigation, police learned Voigt was a relative of both victims and a possible suspect in both incidents. Kamp was identified as Voigt's boyfriend during the investigation and Madison County Sheriff's Office investigators were able to link evidence to Voigt and Kamp for both burglaries.
Kamp and Voigt were arrested in their home without incident Monday night, according to the Sheriff's Office.
Bail was set at $70,000 for Voigt and $80,000 for Kamp.
