Getting away with $750,000

August 20, 2013

When does the race card game end? Jesse Jackson Jr. and wife were slapped on the wrist with a wet noodle and a slap across the mouth to the taxpayers of Illinois. The judge should be disbarred for the small sentence for theft of $750,000. Try relieving a bank of a $100,000 and it will get you 10 years.

Of course, I know Jackson and wife are parents and I know they should have thought of that while they were spending close to $500 for a nice, quiet meal and letting time get away after looking at a watch that cost $45,000.

I wrote recently about how they would get away with the theft. If I were a juror on a case similar to this one, it would be a hung jury because I would take into consideration the accused was young, a first-time offender, married with children, white or black. Did he or she rob because they were hungry, needed the money or just plain stupid? I think we need to know whether they were Democrat or Republican.

That in a nut shell sums up Chicago justice. That nice, caring judge should be commended for his tenderness. That's my opinion.
