Sizing up the Zimmerman verdict

August 22, 2013

Well, letter writer Jim Bonnevier couldn't be more right. Trayvon Martin stood 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighed 185 pounds. He had been arrested 14 times. None of this was allowed at the trial. Not even his size.

I am sure the judge did this so as not to prejudice the jury. His arrest record I could see, but his size?

Plus an eye witness put Martin on top of George Zimmerman. Martin struck Zimmerman at least 13 to 15 times before he was shot. This is a proven fact.

Both could have walked away; Zimmerman should have. Trayvon Martin could have too, but chose to attack and use racial slurs -- "cracker."

If Martin had been white this case never would have gone to trial.
