A St. Jacob woman was at home when two men broke a window and climbed into her home Thursday.

The woman called 911 to report the burglary after she locked herself in an interior room of the home when she realized her house in the 11000 block of Rose Road was being burglarized.

Two men have been charged by the Madison County State's Attorney in connection with the burglary.

Daniel E.E. Bean, 23, of Glen Carbon, and Zachary A. Fortner, 32, of East St. Louis, were both charged with residential burglary in connection with the Thursday afternoon burglary of a home in the 11000 block of Rose Road.

The woman called 911 to report the burglary in progress at 12:27 p.m., according to the police report. Bean and Fortner fled as police arrived and were arrested by a Madison County Sheriff's Deputy not far from the home they are accused of breaking into.

The bond for both men was set at $200,000 by Madison County Judge Richard Tognarelli.
