The following incidents were listed among the official reports of local law enforcement agencies and court clerks. Readers are reminded that an arrest or charge does not constitute a finding of guilt. Only a court of law can make that determination.
THURSDAY, AUG. 22
10:16 a.m. Stalking -- 4500 block of West Main Street. The victim reported a former supervisor/suspect has allegedly been stalking her for several weeks.
10:41 a.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 300 block of South First Street. The victim reported a window on his vehicle was broken out and property was stolen.
11:49 a.m. Theft of firearms -- 100 block of Juniper Drive. The victim reported two handguns were stolen from a gun safe in his residence.
1:13 p.m. Exploitation of the elderly -- 2600 block of Old Caseyville Road. The reporting party stated his mother/victim paid the suspect in advance for work that was to be done. The suspect never returned and all attempts to contact the suspect have failed.
5:11 p.m. Retail theft -- Walmart, 2601 Green Mount Commons. The suspect was arrested for retail theft and taken into custody.
7:10 p.m. Unlawful use of debit card -- Moto Mart, 701 W. Main St. The victim reported her stolen debit card had been used at Moto Mart.
7:36 p.m. Retail theft -- Circle K, 3801 North Belt West. An employee reported on Aug. 2 between 4:10 p.m. and 5:10 p.m. an unknown suspect stole merchandise. On Aug. 22, between 6:26 p.m. and 7:26 p.m. the same suspect returned and stole merchandise.
8:50 p.m. Battery -- McDonald's parking lot, 4422 W. Main St. The victim reported the suspect and another unknown subject battered her. The victim signed a non traffic citation for battery against the suspect.
8:52 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of cannabis, obstructing a peace officer -- 500 block of Dutch Hollow. Kyle Siekmann, 20, was arrested for possession of cannabis and obstructing a peace officer. He was taken into custody.
9:52 p.m. Domestic battery -- 900 block of Belle Valley Drive. The victim reported her boyfriend/suspect battered her during an argument.
FRIDAY, AUG. 23
12:35 a.m. Retail theft -- Shop 'n Save, 4201 North Belt West. Anthony M. Danley, 47, was arrested for retail theft and taken into custody.
ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES
THURSDAY, AUG. 22
Mark L. Taylor, 20, 809 N. 41st St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of armed robbery on or about Aug. 13 by Cahokia police. Taylor allegedly, while armed with a dangerous weapon, a fake gun, Co2 pistol or similar blunt object, knowingly took property from the person of Martha Barfield, being U.S. currency, by threatening the imminent use of force.
Thomas D. Flakes, 18, of 318 Lebanon Ave., Belleville, arrested on suspicion of criminal damage to government supported property on or about Aug. 16 by Belleville police. Flakes allegedly, damaged, a phone located at the Belleville Police Department, which property is supported in part with city funds, said damage not in excess of $500.
