Again: Drill, baby, drill

August 23, 2013

I agree with letter writer Larry McClintick 100 percent. That is what I have been trying to say in my letters. I don't understand why we can't drill for oil here in the U.S. instead of importing from overseas. Gas jumps up as much as 30 cents a gallon, but the most it will come down is four cents.

The reason I understand for the gas being high is because we are still getting oil from overseas, and that apparently is costing a lot more money, which reflects on us at the pump. If people would drill here in the states, then gas would not cost half our paycheck.
