Belleville man faces felony charges for apartment burglary

A man wanted for residential burglary has been arrested on a warrant by Belleville police and faces a felony charge.

Michael L. Phillips, 22 of 906 Sycamore St. in Belleville, has been charged with one count of residential burglary, a Class 1 felony. His bail was set at $50,000.

The charges came in relation to an Aug. 12 burglary at an apartment in the 100 block of N. 38th Street in Belleville.

Phillips, according to St. Clair County Circuit Clerk's Office records, is also awaiting a court appearance on criminal trespass.
