If Tuesday wasn't warm enough for you, it will be even hotter Wednesday

A heat advisory remains in effect for the metro-east Wednesday as the high temperature is expected to soar to 97 degrees under sunny skies.

The peak temperature is expected to hit around 2 p.m. and last until 6 p.m. when the mercury will slowly begin to fall. With humidity at 90 percent and a dew point of 66, the heat index will be 105.

The hot temperatures will last through the weekend with highs of at least 95 forecast through Sunday.
