Sometimes people can be very critical and degrading and bad-mouth a lot of good people and families who probably don't deserve it. When I say that, I mean men like Belleville Mayor Mark Eckert, St. Clair County Board Chairman Mark Kern, county Democratic Party leader Robert Sprague and Chief Judge John Baricevic.
These men probably have helped a lot of people or assisted them in getting employment, a roof over their head and food on the table. You can't help but be loyal to anyone who helps you to survive in this jungle.
People stereotype all judges because two judges made a mistake and one paid with his life.
People complain about the pensions. Would they refuse a $40,000 to $80,000 pension if it's legal?
They complain about the crime rate, but people who live in Belleville are blessed and living in second heaven compared with other cities in St. Clair County.
Last but least, they complain that a lot of people of color have moved to Belleville. Well, this is America. People can do that now. The color of money is the same for everyone: green.
