Memories. We all have them, but I'm fortunate. Mine are pleasant and I had, and have, four daughters, sons-in-law and wonderful, well- behaved and courteous grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. I just hope and pray that many other grandparents (or future ones) live the same wonderful years and memories.
In a couple of previous letters to this paper, I've thanked the Lord, neighbors, relatives and friends for my wonderful good fortune of living through two wars without being seriously wounded and thanked our government for the pension I receive each and every month since 1963.
I've even outlived many of the grandparents of personnel who gave their lives protecting our country. God bless others including my wonderful friends and neighbors as he has blessed me during my 91 years.
