News-DemocratSeptember 1, 2013

The Belleville City Council will meet at 7 p.m., Tuesday instead of Monday due to the Labor Day holiday.

The meeting will be held in the city council chambers.

The council is scheduled to receive a $40,000 donation from the Armstrong, Teasdale law firm, consider a use variance for a church in a heavy commercial district and consider a special use permit for Target to sell packaged liquor at its store in Belleville Crossing.

Ward Two Alderwoman Melinda Hult also has requested more discussion in reference to the Meredith Home in downtown which is slated for demolition.
