The same as dying in combat

Now that Maj. Nadal Hasan has been convicted of the 13 deaths and 31 wounded at Ft. Hood, Texas and has been given the death penalty, don't you think its about time the Army admitted that those who were wounded or killed should have been treated as combat causalities and they and/or their survivors taken care of as such?
