BELLEVILLE POLICE

FRIDAY, AUG. 30

8:24 a.m. Traffic stop, obstructing identification, possession of a controlled substance -- 900 block of South Illinois. The driver/suspect was arrested for obstructing identification and possession of a controlled substance. He was taken into custody.

9:49 a.m. Theft -- Kentucky Fried Chicken, 4914 W. Main St. A former employee allegedly stole U.S. currency from the business.

11:16 a.m. Traffic stop, possession of a controlled substance -- 9400 block of West Main Street. The driver/suspect was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and taken into custody.

9:14 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of a controlled substance -- 9800 block of West Main Street. The occupants of the vehicle, suspects were arrested for possession of a controlled substance and taken into custody.

11:41 a.m. Burglary to vehicle -- First block of North Delaware. The victim reported her unlocked vehicle was entered and property was stolen.

10:22 p.m. Battery -- First block of South Charles Street. Trenton Schlegel, 25, was arrested for battery and taken into custody.

11:59 p.m. Traffic stop, driving under the influence -- 100 block of East Main Street. Erik J. Patrioc, 27, was arrested for driving under the influence and taken into custody.

SATURDAY, AUG. 31

10:59 a.m. Residential burglary -- 1800 block of Laureate. The property owner/victim reported forced entry was gained to the duplex. The stoves and water heaters were stolen out of both units.

2:48 p.m. Residential burglary -- First block of Periwinkle Circle. The victim reported forced entry was made to his residence through a window and property was stolen.

9:55 p.m. Drunkenness -- Sleepy Hollow Motel, 601 South Best West. Darius L. Pierce, 19, was arrested for drunkenness and taken into custody.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 1

12:10 a.m. Attempted burglary, criminal damage to property -- Center for Racial Harmony, 207 N. 2nd St. Officers responded to an alarm call at the building. On checking the building, officers observed doors at the rear of the building had been damaged in an attempt to gain entry.

1 a.m. Criminal damage to property -- First block of North 12th Street. The victim reported her ex-boyfriend/suspect allegedly kicked her vehicle causing damage.

2:18 a.m. Aggravated domestic battery -- First block of West Pheasantwood. The suspect was arrested for aggravated domestic battery and taken into custody.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

FRIDAY, AUG. 30

Montrell D. Cooper, 25, of 2421 Missouri Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of domestic battery, subsequent on or about Aug. 27 by East St. Louis police. Cooper allegedly, made physical contact with Michelle L. Rowling, a family/household member, in that said defendant pushed her. The defendant had been previously convicted of Aggravated Battery on Feb. 21.

Marlon M. Miller, 20, of 704 N. 70th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on or about Aug. 28 by East St. Louis police. Miller allegedly, caused great bodily harm to Michael R. Lewis, in that he struck him about the body; knowingly carried concealed on his person a handgun, at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded, and accessible.

Travarius D. Johnson, 22, of 270 Marcella Drive 7, Swansea, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and domestic battery on or about Aug. 2 by Swansea police. Johnson allegedly, carried in a vehicle a .45 caliber Hi-Point Semi-Automatic handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and accessible; knowingly made physical contact with Emily A. Blanton, a family/household member, in that he pushed her down onto a bed with his hands.

Levada Brown, 63, of 483 N. 29th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of criminal disposal waste without permit, cause or allow open burning and two counts of causing or allowing open dumping on or about April 10 by St. Clair County sheriff. Brown allegedly, without a permit, registration or license as required by law knowingly treated and stored hazardous waste, including lead bearing glass and electronic components, upon land located at 1414 N. 9th St., in East St. Louis; knowingly conducted an operation for the disposal, treatment and storage of lead bearing waste, including televisions and their components, in a quantity that exceeded 250 cubit feet of waste without a permit, registration or license as required by law; causing or allowing open burning and dumping of refuse including televisions and their components at 1414 N. 9th St., East St. Louis.

Andrew L. Towers, 57, of 2304 N. 60th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of two counts of criminal disposal of waste without a permit, causing or allowing open burning and causing or allowing open dumping on or about April 10 by St. Clair County sheriff. Towers allegedly, without a permit, registration or license as required by law knowingly treated and stored hazardous waste, including lead bearing glass and electronic components, upon land located at 1414 N. 9th St., East St. Louis; knowingly conducted an operation for the disposal, treatment and storage of lead bearing waste, including televisions and their components, in a quantity that exceeded 250 cubic feet of waste without a permit, registration of license as required by law; caused or allowed open burning of refuse including televisions and their components at 1414 N. 9th St., East St. Louis; caused or allowed the open dumping of waste including televisions and their components upon a property located at 1414 N. 9th St., East St. Louis.

Anthony W. Watkins, 46, of 22 Marydale St., Centreville, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence and driving while driver's license is revoked, subsequent on or about Aug. 29 by Cahokia police. Watkins allegedly, drove a green 1995 Mercury Cougar on Camp Jackson Road in Cahokia, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant's driving privileges were revoked. Defendant had been previously convicted of Driving While License is Revoked on Sept. 20, 2011.

Kalvin K. Simmons, 35, of 18 Yorkshire Lane J, Shiloh, arrested on suspicion of aggravated discharge of a firearm, reckless discharge of a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon on or about Aug. 18 by Shiloh police. Simmons allegedly, while outside the building located at 421 Williamsburg, Shiloh, St. Clair County, and under circumstances where the defendant reasonably should have know that the building was occupied, knowingly discharged a firearm at that building; endangered the bodily safety of a minor child, while acting in a reckless manner, he discharged a firearm and in doing so caused a bullet or bullets to be discharged in the vicinity of the bedroom window of the minor child of Christopher Thomspon; knowingly possessed a firearm, a black Ruger LCP .380 caliber pistol, with a Crimson Trace laser sight, at a time when he was not on his own land or in his own abode or fixed place of business, and when not invited thereon, and the firearm was uncased, loaded and accessible.

Travion C. Wells, 20, of 5619 Hallows Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of armed violence and aggravated battery on or about June 28 by Washington Park police. Wells allegedly, while armed with a dangerous weapon, a handgun, performed acts prohibited by Illinois laws, in that he battered Deason T. Nichols, on or about a public way, 4320 N. 43rd St., Washington Park, and while committing that offense the defendant personally discharged a handgun; knowingly and by means of discharging of a firearm caused injury to Deason T. Nichols in that said defendant shot Deason T. Nichols about the body with a handgun.
