Madison County receives nearly $300,000 for its drug court

— Madison County will get nearly $300,000 in grant money from the U.S. Department of Justice for its drug court.

U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin announced a federal grant of $299,917 for the Madison County drug court program, which is designed to integrate treatment services into court cases for non-violent offenders addicted to drugs.

Madison County will use the funding to target populations that are not currently being served, expand court services and enhance operations in the drug court.
