North Broadway closed in St. Louis

News-DemocratSeptember 6, 2013

Metro-east residents who work in downtown St. Louis -- or who plan to travel to see the Cardinals or Rams play there this weekend -- should try to avoid North Broadway.

As of Friday, the road is closed in both directions between North Market Street and St. Louis Avenue because of a water line break that caused a 60-foot-long section of the roadway to collapse.

While workers are trying to get at least one lane of the road open by the weekend, St. Louis Street Department workers say motorists should expect traffic snarls there and that they should seek an alternative route.
