Honesty appreciated

September 6, 2013

Recently I accidentally put an envelope in my mailbox along with my outgoing mail. It was a used envelope that had been addressed to me. In the envelope was money, checks and a deposit slip. I was going to go to the bank later that day.

I did not realize my mistake until later in the day. My mail had already been picked up.

I called the post office. The lady who answered was very helpful. After being on hold for a few minutes, she told me she had the envelope and I could pick it up. The money and checks and deposit slip were still in the envelope.

Her honesty and willingness to help me was "out of the box." I commend her and all postal workers. This was above and beyond the call to duty.
