'Fields of Dreams' night at Belleville East to benefit Uganda youth

— The Belleville East boys soccer program on Thursday will host "Fields of Dreams" night to benefit children from Uganda.

Soccer equipment and cash donations will be accepted from the start of the junior varsity game at 5 p.m. until the end of the varsity contest. The Lancers' opponent will be Alton Marquette.

Items that will be collected include jerseys, shorts, socks, shin guards, goalie gloves, cleats, indoor shoes, duffel bags, cones, ball pumps, warm-up jackets, soccer balls and T-shirts. Coaching and referee equipment also will be accepted.
