BELLEVILLE POLICE

SUNDAY, SEPT. 1

12:38 p.m. Domestic battery -- St. Elizabeth's Hospital, 211 S. Third St. The suspect was arrested for domestic battery and taken into custody.

6:29 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- 700 block of East D Street. The victim reported a brick was thrown through her front door window. She believes an acquaintance is responsible.

7:26 p.m. Attempted residential burglary -- 2000 block of Foster. Officers responded to a residential alarm sounding. The officers discovered the rear door forced open. The residence was secured.

10:16 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 700 block of Gass Avenue. The victim reported his vehicle was entered and property was stolen.

10:38 p.m. Unlawful use of weapon, mob action -- 300 block of North 11th Street. The victims reported being battered by an ex-girlfriend on one of the victims and several subjects. One victim reported being struck with a pistol. The subjects left the area in a silver Toyota vehicle. License plate number unknown.

MONDAY, SEPT. 2

3:34 a.m. Driving under the influence -- 1200 block of Florida. Richard L. Ness, 31, was arrested for driving under the influence and taken into custody.

9:43 a.m. Burglary -- 700 block of North 28th Street. The victim reported his unlocked garage was entered and property was stolen.

10:03 a.m. Burglary to vehicle -- 3900 block of Shirley Drive. The victim reported the passenger side window of his vehicle was broken out and property was stolen.

7:39 p.m. Domestic battery -- First block of Nocturne Court. The suspect was arrested for domestic battery and taken into custody.

11:41 p.m. Domestic battery -- First block of North 11th Street. The suspect was arrested for domestic battery and taken into custody.

TUESDAY, SEPT. 3

1:03 a.m. Drunkenness -- 7000 block of West Main Street. Linda M. Binford, 55, was arrested for drunkenness and taken into custody.

7:01 a.m. Burglary to a storage unit -- Calhoun Construction, 6600 W. Main St. The business owner reported the door to a storage unit was pried open and property was stolen.

8:06 a.m. Burglary to business -- Springleaf Financial, 5720 N. Belt West. The manager reported a front window to the business was broken out and property was stolen.

8:26 p.m. Child abandonment -- 100 block of South 30th Street. The reporting party stated his live-in girlfriend/suspect left their child and three other children at their residence for two days. The complainant has had no contact with the suspect during that time. DCFS was notified.

8:35 a.m. Theft -- The Jones Boys, 1111 Mascoutah Ave. An employee reported a tow dolly was stolen from the business.

10:50 a.m. Disorderly conduct -- St. Elizabeth's Hospital, 211 S. 3rd St. The suspect left a letter threatening a nurse and the hospital.

5:18 p.m. Burglary -- First block of South 12th Street. The victim reported entry was gained tot he building and property was stolen.

6:57 p.m. Violation of an order of protection -- 200 block of North 45th Street. The victim reported the suspect violated the active order of protection when he came to her residence.

7:06 p.m. Aggravated domestic battery -- 7000 block of West Main Street. The suspect was arrested for aggravated domestic battery and taken into custody.

8:56 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- First block of Carlyle Avenue. The victim reported his ex-girlfriend/suspect damaged his vehicle. The victim signed a non traffic citation for the damage against the suspect.

11:31 p.m. Suspicious subjects, unlawful possession of a firearm -- 1100 block of Dawn Drive. Officers responded to a call of a group of subjects in the 1100 block of Dawn Drive. The caller stated one of the subjects displayed a handgun. Officers located the subjects. A handgun was found under a vehicle and seized. A male matching the description of the suspect with the handgun (identity known to officers) fled the scene on foot.

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 4

1:11 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- 300 block of North 2nd Street. Calvin Tayler, 38, was arrested for damage to property and taken into custody.

5:08 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- D.S. Vespers, 701 S. Belt West. The victim reported a window on her vehicle was broken out and property was stolen.

6:50 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- YMCA, 200 S. Illinois. The victim reported a window on her vehicle was broken out and property was stolen.

8:31 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of a controlled substance, possession of cannabis, possession of drug paraphernalia -- Illinois Route 161 at Lebanon Road. The driver/suspect was arrested and taken into custody.

11:44 p.m. Disorderly conduct, failure to comply -- First block of Hillside Lane. Raeveon T. Johnson, 22, was arrested for failure to comply and taken into custody.

THURSDAY, SEPT. 5

11:23 a.m. Attempted burglary -- 200 block of North 35th Street. The victim reported an unknown subject attempted to force open the door to his residence.

12:31 p.m. Criminal damage to property -- 600 block of South Belt East. The victim reported the rear window of her vehicle was broken out.

1:25 p.m. Burglary to vehicle -- Quik Trip, 755 S. Belt West. The victim reported his unlocked vehicle was entered and property was stolen.

4:06 p.m. Dog bite, dog at large -- 200 block of Voss Place. Latoya Sampson, 40, was issued a non traffic citation for dog at large and her dog was taken into custody by Animal Control. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment.

6:27 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of cannabis, possession of drug equipment -- 100 block of South 2nd Street. The occupants of the vehicle, Brian Pursell, 31, and James Schwahn, 30, were arrested and taken into custody.

6:44 p.m. Criminal damage to vehicle -- Foley's Tavern, 7714 W. Main St. The victim reported the paint on the trunk and hood of her vehicle was scratched. The victim believes the damage was caused by an acquaintance.

6:59 p.m. Disorderly conduct -- 500 block of South 22nd Street. The victim signed a non traffic citation for disorderly conduct on the suspect.

11:03 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic needles -- State Street at North 87th Street. The occupants of the vehicle were arrested and taken into custody.

FRIDAY, SEPT. 6

1:32 a.m. Disorderly conduct -- First block of North 16th Street. Samiah L. Goodwin, 20, was arrested for disorderly conduct and released with a notice to appear.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 4

Erik D. McCallister, 37, of 400 N. 3rd St., Dupo, arrested on suspicion of three counts of domestic battery, subsequent offense, unlawful restraint and criminal damage to property on or about Aug. 24 by Dupo police. McCallister allegedly, made physical contact with Lacresha S. McCallister, a family/household member, in that said defendant grabbed her by the arm, slapped her in the mouth, and grabbed a minor child by the hair and pulled her; knowingly detained Lacresha McCallister in that he refused to let her leave the residence located at 648 N. 5th St., Dupo; knowingly damaged a 2003 Ford Explorer of Lacresha McCallister, said damage not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of Domestic Battery Subsequent on June 25, 2007.

Randy McCray, 56, of 3103 Jefferson Ave., Apt. C, East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of leaving the scene of an accident involving personal injury on or about Nov. 17, 2012, by East St. Louis police. McCray allegedly, left the scene of an accident involving the vehicle he was driving, after that vehicle was involved in an accident at 815 N. 22nd St., East St. Louis, in which Dennis Williams was personally injured, and there after failed to report the accident to the East St. Louis Police Department or any police department or Sheriff's Office, near the place where such accident occurred within one-half hour after the accident.

Anthony A. Perryman, 50, of 508 Williamsburg Drive C, Shiloh, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about July 31 by Shiloh police. Perryman allegedly took merchandise from Circle K, 2411 Lebanon Ave., Shiloh, being a bottle of wine and a can of beer, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of Retail Theft on Jan. 20, 2007.

Nicholas A. Garner, 26, of 1964 Sterling Oaks St., Atlanta, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession with the intent to deliver cannabis on or about Sept. 3 by Caseyville police. Garner allegedly possessed with the intent to deliver more than 30 grams but less than 500 grams of a substance containing cannabis.

Joshua D. Hummert, 24, of 412 E. Mill Road, Freeburg, arrested on suspicion of theft, subsequent on or about Aug. 15 by St. Clair County sheriff. Hummert allegedly took property of James Hummert, being tools and a television, total value not in excess of $500. Defendant had been previously convicted of Theft on April 26, 2012.

Thursday, Sept. 5

David D. Edwards, 26, of 537 N. 24th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of a controlled substance on or about Sept. 3 by St. Clair County sheriff. Edwards allegedly had in his possession less than 15 grams of a substance containing cocaine.

Tyshawn M. Gamble, 19, of 775 N. 38th St., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and possession of cannabis on or about June 3 by Illinois State Police. Gamble allegedly carried on his person a 9mm handgun at a time when he was not on his own land, or in his own abode, or fixed place of business, uncased, loaded and accessible; had in his possession more than 30 but less than 500 grams of a substance containing cannabis. Defendant had not been issued a current, valid FOID Card.

Joshua D. Hummert, 24, of 412 E. Mill Road, Freeburg, arrested on suspicion of retail theft, subsequent on or about Aug. 24 by Swansea police. Hummert allegedly took merchandise from Rural King, 2801 N. Illinois St., Swansea, being spools of electrical wiring, total retail value not in excess of $300; knowingly took merchandise being camouflaged clothing, total retail value not in excess of $300. Defendant had been previously convicted of Theft on April, 26, 2012.

Justin M. Brannan, 19, of 1156 Windshire, Mascoutah, arrested on suspicion of two counts of predatory criminal sexual assault on or about Aug. 29 and two counts of criminal sexual assault between July 1 and Aug. 29 by Mascoutah police. Brannan allegedly committed an act of multiple sexual assaults on a male minor, date of birth Sept. 7, 2001.

Anthony J. Nelson, 25, of 4338 Portland Manor Drive, Florissant, Mo., arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery and attempted retail theft on or about Sept. 4 by Fairview Heights police. Nelson allegedly, in committing a battery, knowingly caused bodily harm to Larry Lohman, a merchant who had detained the defendant for an alleged commission of retail theft, in that he pushed and shoved Larry Lohman; knowingly took merchandise from Dillard's Inc., St. Clair Square, Fairview Heights, being T-shirts, total retail value not in excess of $300.

Elysecia L. Temple, 26, of 390 Winchester Place, Fairview Heights, arrested on suspicion of aggravated driving under the influence and driving on revoked license on or about Sept. 4 by Fairview Heights police. Temple allegedly drove a silver 2005 Hyundai on North Illinois Street in Fairview Heights, while the defendant was under the influence of alcohol and during a period in which the defendant's driving privileges were revoked.

Brian E. Combs, 50, of 311 S. Belleville, Freeburg, arrested on suspicion of aggravated criminal sexual abuse between Aug. 1, 2012 and Aug. 24, 2012 by Freeburg police. Combs allegedly knowingly committed an act of sexual conduct with a female minor, date of birth April 12, 2007.
