Two gunmen rob Captain D's in Belleville

Belleville police are looking for two men accused of robbing the Captain D's restaurant on Saturday.

The robbery occurred at 9:42 p.m. at the store at 649 Carlyle Ave. According to police, two men, who are described as black males, both about 6-foot-4 with thin builds and wearing black jeans and hoodies with black bandanas covering their faces, walked into the business and ordered three customers in the restaurant to lie down on the floor while threatening them with a handgun. The suspects then robbed the personal property and cash from the customers and stole cash from the business.

They escaped through a rear exit. Police searched the area using a K-9 team and were unable to locate the suspects.
