Don't blame God for evil

September 12, 2013

I have never written to the BND before, but Jim Walters' letter about God got me riled. I'd like to know what happened to him to make him hate God. If he read and studied the Bible, he'd know that the people who say everything is God's will don't read or study their Bible either.

It's not God's will that children are beaten to death. The bad things that happen, happen because of sin, but again he'd need to study the Bible to know this.

God does give man free will, he does not force anyone to love him or have a relationship with him.

Webster's Dictionary defines a miracle as "an event or action that apparently contradicts known scientific laws and is hence thought to be due to supernatural causes, especially to an act of God." Do I believe in miracles? Yes, and according to Webster I have witnessed a miracle.

Why miracles happen to some and not others, I don't know. All I know is if miracles happened to everyone, we'd be living in a perfect world and we're far from perfect.

God has a name: God, not G-man. He is not a federal agent.

I know Walters wouldn't want me to, but I will be praying for him, that someday he'll accept God's love and want to have a relationship with him. I have lived a life without God and with God, and I choose to live my life with God.
