So from the speech President Obama made the other night on TV, even though he says that he is only asking for an air strike, nothing on ground, it makes we wonder how long it would take before we would be on the ground. And even though he wants Congress' approval, he will go ahead with going to Syria no matter what Congress decides.
Yes, it's bad that many children lost their lives to the weapons, but if we do go in, too many of our soldiers will not be coming home.
If, by chance, we are able to talk the government over there into giving up their weapons, then let's do that. If not, what is to prevent them from using them on our people when the mood strikes them?
Obama says he would like Congress' approval, but I get the feeling he will do it no matter what. If he does and it goes bad, like it possibly will, he will have no one to blame but himself this time -- although he will probably find a way to blame the Republicans like he always does.
