The Sunset Inn in Troy is celebrating 20 years in business. The inn at 8819 Illinois 162 was once part of a larger building built 80 years ago. Legend has it that the Rossetto's Italian Restaurant that was initially built there was operated by gangsters when it opened in 1933. The building became the Sunset Inn in 1964 and still operated the restaurant until a fire destroyed most of the building in 1995. Today, the inn owners have been building a patio and filling a former basement with concrete. You can call them at 618-667-6600.
