Power back on for thousands in O'Fallon, Lebanon, Mascoutah

About 6,800 residents in O'Fallon, Lebanon and Mascoutah were without power about 3 p.m. Wednesday.

By about 3:45 p.m., 2,200 residents were still without power and residents in O'Fallon had their power restored.

According to Ameren spokesman Brian Bretsch, the electric provider is aware of the outage and has dispatched crews to find and repair whatever is causing the outage.

As of 4:50 p.m. all customers had power back on, but the cause of the outage is still unknown but crews were still investigating to find what caused the outage.
