Bless our law enforcement

September 18, 2013

As a law-abiding, concerned citizen for law and order respecting our heroes who protect and serve proudly, Lord knows we must have law and order in this great country. This past January I was re-appointed to the Village of Washington Park Police and Fire Board of Commissioners. I serve as secretary for the third time. January 2014 will be my 15th year.

I was a village trustee and Fire Committee chairman. Prior to that I was a volunteer fireman for 14 years and vice-president of the Washington Park Fireman's Association.

I served on the Zoning Board. My third appointment was by Mayor James Jones and I was nominated by Trustee Angie Ann Rodgers, now our village mayor.

Her goal is to provide the best professional police department and volunteer fire department that is possible to the citizens of the Village of Washington Park. We must stand tall behind her and all of the village trustees with honor and respect. We must move forward in the right direction. Thank God for Steve Wigginton, Brendan Kelly, Sheriff Watkins, M.E.P.D.C., state police and K9 dogs.
