BELLEVILLE POLICE

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 18

5:29 p.m. Retail theft -- Family Dollar, 4517 W. Main St. Employees reported a subject stole merchandise form the business.

6:35 p.m. Residential burglary -- 500 block of North Church. The victim reported unknown person(s) entered her residence and property was stolen.

8:44 p.m. Theft -- 4500 block of Ammel. The victim reported property was stolen from his back porch.

9:24 p.m. Violation of an order of protection -- First block of Hi Pointe Drive. The victim reported his ex-girlfriend/suspect was parked in front of his residence, violating the active order of protection.

11:48 p.m. Traffic stop, possession of cannabis -- 1400 block of East Main. Roger L. Miller, 26, was arrested for possession of cannabis and taken into custody.

ST. CLAIR COUNTY FELONIES

THURSDAY, SEPT. 19

Joseph L. Berry Jr., 33, of 214 E. Main St., Lebanon, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession with intent to deliver cannabis on or about Sept. 9 by Lebanon police. Berry allegedly, possessed with the intent to deliver more than 10 grams but less than 30 grams of a substance containing cannabis.

Ray A. Taylor, 31, of 1130 Tudor Ave., East St. Louis, arrested on suspicion of armed robbery and attempted armed robbery on or about Aug. 3 by Caseyville police. Taylor allegedly, while carrying a firearm on his person, knowingly took property, being U.S. currency from he presence of Steven Jachino, by threatening the imminent use of force; while carrying a firearm on his person, knowingly attempted to take property from Jan Carrol by threatening the imminent use of force.

James L. Thomas, 32, of 902 St. Matthews, Cahokia, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials on or about Sept. 17 by St. Clair County sheriff. Thomas allegedly, had in his possession methamphetamine manufacturing material, being Roebil crystal drain opener (lye), coffee filters, bottles, and an improvised HCL generator with tubing, with the intent of said materials to be used to manufacture methamphetamine.

Richard L. Simms, 42, of 488 McBride Ave. 7, Dupo, arrested on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine manufacturing materials on or about Sept. 17 by St. Clair County sheriff. Simms allegedly, had in his possession methamphetamine manufacturing material, being Roebil Crystal drain opener (lye), coffee filters, bottles, and an improvised HCL generator with tubing, with the intent of said materials to be used to manufacture methamphetamine.

Benjamin R. Ingram, 24, of 2219 State St., East Carondolet, arrested on suspicion of failure to register employment as a sex offender and failure to register temporary domicile as a sex offender between Sept. 18 and Sept. 19 by St. Clair County sheriff. Ingram allegedly, a sex offender, knowingly failed to register in accordance with the provisions of the Sex Offender Registration Act, with the sheriff of St. Clair County, his current employment within that county; knowingly failed to register in accordance with the provisions of the Sex Offender Registration act, with the Sheriff of St. Clair County, a temporary domicile, where he had resided for a period of time of 3 days or more during a calendar year.
