A Fairview Heights man has been charged in connection with a hit-and-run accident in Caseyville last weekend.

Robert J. Pearsall, 60, of 129 Lakeland Hills Drive, was charged Friday by the St. Clair County State's Attorney with failure to report an accident with injury and aggravated driving under the influence.

Pearsall is accused of being under the influence of drugs and alcohol when he struck Myia L. Holman with the 1996 GMC 1500 pickup truck Sept. 14. Pearsall was driving eastbound on St. Clair Avenue on Illinois 157 in Caseyville when he was involved in the accident. He then left the scene of the accident and left Holman seriously injured and failed to report the accident to police.

The case was investigated by Detective Sgt. Frank Moore of Caseyville Police Department.

His bond was set at $100,000.
