Let me get this straight, we now have a federal lawsuit alleging more voter fraud in East St. Louis. This after the vote-buying convictions in the 2004 elections in which voters were paid $5 to vote. This was the same election in which St. Clair County Board Chairman Mark Kern donated $30,000 to his party to help "get out the vote." At $5 a vote, that equates to about 6,000 votes and Kern won that election by approximately 5,200 votes, but I am sure there is absolutely no correlation.
All of this and the whole $5 million per year airport fiasco. All we continue to see are unfulfilled promises. When will St. Clair County voters finally see the light?
