Dense, patchy fog has settled into parts of the metro-east Tuesday morning, potentially slowing the morning commute for some.

The fog is expected to burn off by about 10 a.m. But skies will remain mostly cloudy after that with a predicted high temperature of 82 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.

A 30 percent chance of thunderstorms will arrive Wednesday with a high of 85 degrees expected. The chance of rain increases to 40 percent Wednesday evening.

There is a 30 percent chance of showers Thursday morning. But wet weather is expected to clear out in time for the St. Louis Cardinals playoff game Thursday afternoon.
