The heat is on: Summer temperatures for October baseball

News-DemocratOctober 3, 2013

It may be time for playoff baseball. But it's going to seem more like the dog days of summer Thursday and Friday at Busch Stadium.

The high temperature is expected to reach 85 for Game 1 of the National League Division Series between Pittsbugh and St. Louis at 4:07 p.m. Thursday. For Game 2 Friday, set to start at 12:07 p.m., the high is expected to be 88.

There is a 20 percent chance of thunderstorms Thursday with the most likely time for rain to come in the mid morning hours. But partly cloudy skies are expected by game time.

Skies are expected to be mostly sunny Friday.
