Economic impact

According to Ruth Sergenian, the St. Louis Regional Chamber's director of economic research, each game of the NL Division Series in St. Louis will have an economic impact of $5.3 million. The estimate is based on the assumption that each game will attract 46,000 fans.

If the Cardinals host as many playoff games as possible, 10, the economic impact would be about $68 million.
