Operation Shower, based in Clayton, Missouri, began in 2007 and has given 40 showers for military moms who have newborns or are expecting. Many times, the mothers give birth while the fathers are deployed. Operation Shower hopes to give back a little joy to the mothers during a period of stress and uncertainty. About 40 moms or expectant moms attended the shower at Scott Air Force Base on Tuesday October 8, 2013 where they had a nice meal, were lavished with wonderful and useful presents, and made crafts to "save a memory".
