Collinsville will be without its coach for second game in a row

October 10, 2013

Collinsville High football coach John Blaylock will not be on the sidelines for the second consecutive game Friday when the Kahoks play a Southwestern Conference game at Belleville West.

Blaylock did not coach in the Kahoks' 27-13 loss to visiting O'Fallon last Friday. Collinsville Athletic Director Darin Lee said this week that Blaylock will return Oct. 18 when Alton visits Collinsville.

Collinsville Superintendent Robert Green has refused comment on Blaylock's situation, pointing out that it's a personnel matter. The Kahoks' coaching staff refused comment after the game against O'Fallon.

Mark Jiles, an assistant on Blaylock's staff, will lead the Kahoks against Belleville West.
