Cardinals roster unchanged for NLCS

News-DemocratOctober 11, 2013

— What worked for St. Louis Cardinals manager Mike Matheny in the National League Division Series is good enough for the NL Championshp Series, too.

St. Louis will go with the same roster against the Los Angeles Dodgers as it employed against Pittsburgh.

Here it is:

PITCHERS (12)

John Axford, Randy Choate, Joe Kelly, Lance Lynn, Seth Maness, Carlos Martinez, Shelby Miller, Edward Mujica, Trevor Rosenthal, Kevin Siegrist, Michael Wacha, Adam Wainwright

CATCHERS (2)

Tony Cruz, Yadier Molina

INFIELDERS (6)

Matt Adams, Matt Carpenter, Daniel Descalso, David Freese, Pete Kozma, Kolten Wong

OUTFIELDERS (5)

Carlos Beltran, Adron Chambers, Matt Holliday, Jon Jay, Shane Robinson

Game 1 of the NLCS will be at 7:37 p.m. Friday at Busch Stadium. Joe Kelly (10-5, 2.69 ERA) will pitch for the Cardinals against the Dodgers' Zack Greinke (15-4, 2.63 ERA).

The Cardinals and Dodgers are meeting in the NLCS for the first time in 28 years when the Cardinals won 4-2.
